This flow-wrapping machine has been developed for mid-range projects as well as regular manufacturers. It uses a single flat roll of film mounted above the infeed. The product is manually placed on an infeed conveyor, which has pegs regularly spaced to push the product along. As the product item reaches the centre of the machine, it passes through a forming box, which allows the machine to wrap the film fully around the product. The edges of the wrapped film engage in a heated roller which seals the film into a tube with product pieces equally spaced. The film tube then passes through a rotating heated crimper. The crimper makes contact with the film in between each product piece, sealing the film and separating each item from the preceding item. The separated product packs then drop off at the end. As well as manual loading, it is also possible to synchronise a product feeder if required. 10 – 150 packs per minute are possible.
The machine is ideal for packing chocolate bars, biscuits, bread, muffins, and cakes. Simple to operate and maintain.
